WHAT IS DICE?

DICE stands for DIGITAL CERTIFICATE.

This entity can be anything (schools, companies etc) or anyone (a human). This entity is what unites DICE units being mined only for it.
In DICE terms, the entity is called "AN OPERATOR". This is simply a software installed on a computer, can also be a pre-configured device or component connected to the internet.
THE ROLES OF AN OPERATOR

Providing a central point of contact for the units it is associated with or the units it is mined for.
An operator also ensures validation of its associated units, thereby serving as a witness in places where those units are being used.
An operator also maintains a ledger through which addresses of individuals and prototype (not DICE themselves) of DICE is built from. This prototype is just signatures of valid DICE units, that is to say, an operator doesn't have the actual DICE but can testify or pinpoint someone who does.

This structure explained above is called "CLUSTER MODEL".
Therefore the cluster model is a model in DICE platform consisting of a number of operators or nodes within a global network, with the operators being a small network of its own.
Mining of DICE requires no online connection, but validation by operator does. This is what happened thus, while mining, the mining equipment or machine stores large units while offline, and once brought online the operator validates all at once.
Mined DICE is a finished work, and permanently contains the address of the operator, which is enough for validation in the future.

PROBLEMS WITH BLOCKCHAIN AND THE ACCOMPANYING SOLUTIONS OFFERED BY DICE

CASE 1. BLOCKCHAIN'S WEAKNESSES
Problems: These weaknesses are associated with certain cryptocurrencies. The includes:
a. Transaction cost,
b. The time it takes to mine,
c. Time taken to process the transaction,
d. Power consumption.
Factors such as power consumption posses enough threat to the environment. A study showed that a total of 35TWh was used to create Bitcoin until December 2017.
SOLUTION: DICE aims to solve this challenges by replacing blockchain with cluster model thereby increasing speed and reducing the cost and power consumption. This is as a result of the elimination of public ledger which thereby removes loads of synchronization problems associated with blockchain, instead, there will be a presence of many different ledgers in as much as there are operators.
CASE 2. BLOCKCHAIN'S ACCESSIBILITY
Problem: Study has shown that only 0.5% of the world's population has access to Bitcoin or owns Bitcoin. Many have heard of it and the enormous amounts investors have made etc. This inaccessibility can be attributed to the complex nature of owning a cryptocurrency (registering in exchanges etc), instability in price, cost of mining etc.
Solution: DICE is flexible in its application and it also has streamlined associated cryptocurrencies experience in order to accommodate all and sundry.

Solution: DICE solves this by introducing crowdmining. Crowdmining is similar to crowdfunding, the difference is that users, instead of investing capital, download a software which is then used to mine DICE units. At the end of the crowdmining, the mined DICE are then converted to equity by the organizations involved.

Problem: With a wallet address, transactions can easily be traced to the blockchain.
Solution: DICE units can't be manipulated or stolen, they are only used in transaction confirmed by the owner. Personal details are secured, one can only know what the other choose to reveal. In cases where an operator crashes, the remaining operators still stay intact thus ensuring security, this security ensured is as a result of unconnected cluster chains.
